Surfing, beaching, eco-tours, ziplining, waterfall rappelling, bird watching, whale watching and other activities at Ballena National Marine Park, jungle hiking, scuba/snorkeling, horseback riding and more within minutes. A little farther north is the Manuel Antonio National Park and a little farther south are tours of the wildlife on the Sierpe River. Golf is even available about 90 minutes away at the Marriott Los Suenos in Jaco. The concierge can arrange all of those tours and more.

The “Southern Zone” of Costa Rica is well known for fine dining as well as great day-to-day places. Listed below are just some of the good places. Of course you can also check on Trip Advisor or some other site for best restaurants in Dominical, Uvita and Ojochal.

There is a small grocery store right off the main highway as you enter Dominical (Google Maps: Super Dominical). There is a great grocery store with a wide selection of wine and alcohol in Uvita called BM. Lots of other stores in Uvita too. Halfway from SJO to the Casa on the way down you can stop at Plaza Herradura for the Auto Mercado which has a very broad selection of anything you could want.
